Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Fame 2021

Pro Hall of Famers are everyone who has made it to professional levels from Grambling State University

Robert Barber

Football 2021 Inductee

Robert Barber played tackle at Gambling, was blessed
with 4.7-second speed over 40 yards, was a member of
the All-SWAC 1974 team, drafted second round by the
Pittsburgh Steelers in 1975, and played for the Steelers
and the Green Bay Packers.


O. K. “Buddy” Davis

Basketball 2021 Inductee

O. K. “Buddy” Davis*, during his career, covered
two major league All-Star games, an NBA All-Star game,
an NCAA Men's Final Four, a BCS national title game, 12
Super Bowls, three NCAA outdoor track championships,
two Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremonies, two Summer
Olympic Games, served as a member of the Heisman
Trophy Selection Committee, and served on the Louisiana
Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee.



Lee Fobbs

Football 2021 Inductee

Lee Fobbs earned All SWAC and All-America honors as
a senior, was drafted in the 8th round by the Buffalo
Bills, played professionally for the CFL & USFL, coached
47 years in the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, MEAC and SWAC,
and coached in Cotton Bowl and the Independence Bowl.


Dwight Scales

Football 2021 Inductee

Dwight Scales was a member of the Black National
Champions in 1972, and 1975, Named All SWAC in 1973,
in 1974, and 1975, Drafted in 5th round, played with the
LA Rams, NY Giants, LA Chargers, and Seattle Seahawks,
Selected to the Pro Bowl and named first Team All Pro,
Played 8 years in the NFL, in Eleven Playoff games,
three AFC Championship Games and two NFC
Championship games.


Wilmer Sigler

baseball 2021 Inductee

Wilmer Sigler was named Captain of team in 1962-63,
Selected All SWAC in 1960, 61, 62 and 63, Part of the
SWAC Championship teams in 1961, 62 and 63, Became a
high school coach in Mobile, Alabama 1963-2000,
Officiated at collegiate and high school levels for 30
years.

Kenneth Simpson 

Basketball 2021 Inductee

Kenneth Simpson was named All SWAC for 4 years
and a Kodak All-American, selected by Kansas City Kings
in 1982, played for 76ers, played in Spain, France, Israel,
Argentina, Greece and Brazil, named MVP of the Spanish
League in 1987 and Israeli League in 1989, and a
member of the Army Military Intelligence Command in
1978-2008.

Willie Williams

Football 2021 Inductee

Willie Williams* won five school letters, four in
football and one in track, Was the Tigers top pass
receiver in 1964, Selected in eighth round by the Giants
in 1965, Led the NFL in pass interceptions with ten
steals and a Pro Bowl appearance.
